Sales Manager Established Premium Wine Producer (NSW)

Our client is a well-established, small/medium-sized, wine producer with extensive vineyards in premium, cool-climate regions of New South Wales. Its wines are distributed in the Australian domestic markets under both its proprietary and customers’ ‘BOB’ labels. Grapes from the company’s vineyards also comprise key components of several high-profile domestic and international wine brands     

A new role has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager to join the company’s Sydney-based management team. Your primary responsibilities will be to manage and grow the company’s existing range of range of NSW and national Key Accounts and manage wholesaler relationships. Concurrently, working closely with the CEO, you will initiate and establish a new premium flagship brand supported by a range of market-relevant sub-brands. 

The role reports to the CEO but carries a high degree of autonomy with account management, sales, budgetary promotional and profit responsibility for the company's brands. It requires proven key account sales experience and keen grasp of wine marketing principles and practice. Accordingly, you will have excellent existing customer relationships and an ability to analyse, innovate, leverage and grow sales opportunities across the full range of accounts and trade channels.

The successful applicant will have a relevant tertiary qualification, at least four years’ wine sales experience and will certainly have excellent wine knowledge (WSET 1 & 2 preferred). Your career to date will have demonstrated a capacity for self-management, planning, and business acumen. To succeed, you will be personally highly motivated, resilient and an excellent communicator who can embody the brand.
