A new role has arisen for an experienced Sales Manager, based in Sydney or Melbourne, to lead the company’s national sales and marketing activities. Your primary responsibilities will include effectively managing and supporting the relationships in all states with the company’s long-established wholesale distributors. You will personally manage and grow the company’s existing range of direct accounts and manage premium and super-premium brand positioning and expansion in both off-and, particularly, on-premise and website-based sales. The company is already very well represented in key export markets but if you have export experience it would be an advantage.

 
The role reports to the MD but carries a high degree of autonomy with account management, sales, budgetary promotional and profit responsibility for the company's brands. It requires proven key account sales experience and a keen grasp of wine marketing principles and practice. Accordingly, you will have excellent existing customer and general industry/media relationships and an ability to analyse, innovate, leverage and grow sales opportunities across the full range of accounts and trade channels.

The successful applicant will have a relevant tertiary qualification, at least four years’ wine sales experience and will certainly have excellent international wine knowledge (WSET 1 & 2 preferred). Your career to date will have demonstrated a capacity for self-management, planning, business acumen and resilience. To succeed, you will be a highly-motivated, persuasive personality and an excellent communicator who can embody the brand.

This role comes with an excellent base salary, plus a performance-based bonus scheme and car allowance.
