Marketing and Wine Club Manager – Knappstein Wines
From its establishment in 1978 to the present day, Knappstein Wines has been synonymous with the very finest, personality-driven Clare Valley wines. In recent years, the company has embarked on a process of brand revitalization to consolidate its reputation as the region’s leading boutique producer. The historic cellar door has been renovated to showcase Knappstein’s multi-award winning wines; the company has further strengthened its domestic and international distribution network and is poised for further growth.
The current market environment provides the ideal time to connect the brand and its wines with a new generation of consumers through a wider range of contemporary activities and communication channels.
The Marketing and Wine Club Manager is a new role in Knappstein’s small management team. As is typical in a boutique company, it involves working closely with winemaking and sales colleagues and comes with a diverse range of marketing responsibilities. These include developing and implementing the company’s brand and related strategies; leading and implementing both company and brand-specific digital communications; developing digital and printed sales and marketing collateral material; events management, media liaison and more. The role has specific responsibility for developing and leading the company’s wine club as well directing a coordinated marketing approach across all DtC sales and marketing activities through a range of appropriate strategies and initiatives.
This is an excellent career opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic, qualified wine marketing professional who can demonstrate a strong and commercial, consumer focus. You will already have diverse wine marketing experience, specifically including DtC database analysis and management. Naturally this requires excellent presentation and written communication skills including the key digital and social media platforms. An upbeat, hands-on entrepreneurial approach and ability to prioritise and multi-task are important in this role. You will relish the opportunity for the varied, results-based responsibilities and the autonomy of working in a small, energised team.
The successful applicant will be offered an attractive salary and the opportunity to be based either at the company’s historic Clare Valley winery, or at their Adelaide offices.
