Operations Manager – All Saints Estate
An extraordinary career opportunity!
All Saints Estate and its sibling companies, St Leonard’s Vineyard, Thousand Pound Wine Bar and Mount Ophir Estate in Victoria’s historic Rutherglen region, have been owned and developed for many years by the Brown Family. Owners Eliza, Angela and Nick Brown, currently perform key strategy and management roles in this thriving business.
A cornerstone of the company’s success has been a commitment to be globally renowned for crafting enviable experiences with an unmistakable personal touch. This has been achieved through this generation’s customer obsession, teamwork, creativity, agility, and drive.
To facilitate the next phase in the growth of All Saints Estate, the new role of Operations Manager has been created. This position will report directly to the Chief Winemaker and GM and, for the right person, the role will be expanded progressively to include the wider responsibilities within the group.
Among the initial core responsibilities of the Operations Manager will be:
- to ensure efficient, cost effective and sustainable operations and maintenance of the company’s winery, vineyards and estates to achieve quality, productivity, financial and safety objectives
- grape and bulk wine inventory and trading; group management responsibility for the packaging, inventory, warehousing and distribution of company and third-party products
- the establishment and subsequent coordination of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process, ensuring supply meets demand
- Financial and budgetary planning and accountability within operations including operational expenditure (Opex) and capital expenditure (CapEx) analysis and implementation
This is clearly a leadership role. Success will require a highly motivated, resilient and outstanding communicator. You will need to be an individual with strategic vision who can embody and implement the commercial and cultural philosophies and family values of this strongly independent company. You will relish the opportunity to jointly lead future development as part of the key management team.
To be considered for this position, you will certainly have a tertiary management or other relevant qualification and at several years leadership experience in a complex manufacturing/operations/production or distribution management role. It would be advantageous but not essential that your experience is the beverage-alcohol sector, but a professional history in a category with a strong focus on consumer experience and satisfaction is essential.
An attractive salary together with wine company benefits, and possibly relocation assistance, will be offered to the successful applicant. For more information, or to apply in confidence for this position, please send a letter of application and your current CV to Chris Anstee via this website .
