Founded in 1866, Best’s Great Western Wines is an Australian icon. Still family owned and managed by the Thomson family, Best’s produces an extraordinary range of super and ultra-premium varietal wines from some of Australia’s oldest vineyards. These include the legendary Bin O Shiraz as well as Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay, Riesling, Dolcetto and more.
The past decade has been one of multiple successes for Best’s who have received major domestic and international accolades for excellence in winemaking, portfolio and marketing.
To be considered for this role, you will need to be an energetic winemaking professional. You should have a formal winemaking qualification and a minimum of three years winemaking experience. You will be comfortable working as a dedicated member of a compact team which is skilled in a wide range of winemaking techniques and tasks, preferably including premium and super-premium wines. You should be able to lead when necessary and be able to implement and supervise all necessary winemaking, operational and safety procedures. Hands-on vintage, cellar, and some laboratory work experience are essential.
